On Monday December 9th, the solemn ceremony of the flame revival at the Arc de Triomphe was held, at which H. E. the Ambassador Marić laid a wreath and revived The Flame at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, accompanied by the military band of the French Republican Guard.

On that occasion Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Paris, Ivana Stanković and Attache of Defense, Colonel Miroslav Nikolić also took part in the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by members of Serbian disapora organizations and French institutions who also laid a wreath, as well as the representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Paris and our flag bearers.
In a solemn atmosphere the military orchestra played the Serbian and French anthem as well as the hymn of the Unknown Soldier. Following the laying of the wreath and observing the minute of silence, H. E. the Ambassador Marić signed into the „Golden book“ honoring the Franco-Serbian friendship and expressing respect to the fallen heroes.
