PRESIDENT VUČIĆ RECEIVED THE CREDENTIALS OF THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF FRANCE @ 15 November 2021 02:24 PM
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received credentials today from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of France, Pierre Cochard, welcomed him and expressed confidence that the successful development of Serbian-French cooperation on the basis of traditional friendship and agreed strategic partnership would continue during his term as well.
President Vučić sent greetings to President Macron and said that his visit in 2019 opened a new chapter in the history of Serbian-French cooperation, as evidenced by the numerous agreements signed.
On this occasion, President Vučić and Ambassador Cochard discussed the dynamics of work on joint capital projects, such as the reconstruction of the airport and preparations for the construction of the subway. On this occasion, they also emphasized the importance of the work of the French Development Agency, whose regional headquarters are in Belgrade.
President Vučić expressed hope that we will have the active support of France in European integration and other important issues in the future as well.
The two interlocutors also discussed the regional situation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkans, to which Serbia, as President Vučić said, will always make a full contribution.
