LUNCH ORGANIZED BY THE MAYOR OF NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, MR. JEAN-CHRISTOPHE FROMANTIN

Ambassador Nataša Marić attended lunch organized for a group of ambassadors accredited in France by the mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Mr. Jean-Christophe Formantin. During the meeting opinions were exchanged on the current international situation. The Apostolic Nuncio and Ambassadors of Italy, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon, Armenia, Portugal, Canada and the Philippines also attended the meeting.


MEETING IN THE ORGANISATION OF THE WOMEN'S FORUM

Ambassador Nataša Marić attended a meeting organised by the Womens’ Forum. The main theme of the meeting was the impact of the education system on gender equality. The meeting was also attended by the ambassadors of Singapore, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andorra, Panama, Iceland and Mexico.

I would point to a few ongoing issues in my speech that refer to the competences of the Mechanism, namely, the possibility of serving the sentences passed by the ICTY and Mechanism in the Republic of Serbia, with the current practice of disabling early release of the sentenced persons as well as obligation of the Mechanism regarding protection of sentenced persons.

MEETING WITH MAYOR OF 7th PARIS ARRONDISSEMENT MME RACHIDA DATI

On Wednesday, December 2, Ambassador Nataša Marić together with the colleagues from Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, Lebanon and Greece, attended a meeting with the mayor of 7 arrondissement, Mme Rachida Dati, during which they exchanged views on current socio-political topics.


FRENCH-SERBIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF IMPLEMENTATION OF INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS IN SERBIA

 

French Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in charge of Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Franck Riester visited Belgrade on November 26 where he met with the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Serbian Minister of Finance Siniša Mali. During Minister Riester’s visit an intergovernmental agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of implementation of the most important infrastructure projects in Serbia – construction of the subway in Belgrade and modernization of Serbian electricity distribution networks.


MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF THE FRANCOPHONY

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia HE Nikola Selaković participated in the Ministerial Conference of the International Organization of the Francophony which was held via video link on November 24 and 25. Minister Selaković presented the previous engagement and priorities of the Republic of Serbia in this organisation.

COMMEMORATION OF THE ARMISTICE DAY AT SERBIAN CEMETERY IN THIAIS

On the occasion of the commemoration of the Armistice Day, Her Excellency Ambassador Nataša Marić and Defense Attaché Colonel Dejan Milosavljević laid a wreath at the Serbian Cemetery of Thiais in the Paris region. Father Slaviša served the commemoration in honor of fallen soldiers. Due to the emergency sanitary situation in France, a limited number of representatives of the Serbian Diaspora’s Associations attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Nataša Marić visited the St. Sava Church in Paris on Tuesday, November 10 and met with the elder of the Church Father Nikola Škrbić and Father Slaviša Šanjić. During the meeting opinions were exchanged on a significant number of current topics.

 


MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF SERBIA AND THE MONACO ECONOMIC BOARD

President Aleksandar Vučić and H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Monaco Economic Board, represented respectively by Mr Marko Čadež and Mr Guillaume Rose. The Memorandum was signed on 7 October.

PARIS SUMMIT

On Friday, July 10, 2020, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, attended the Summit held in Paris in the form of a video conference. The summit was organized on the initiative of French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and is a continuation of the Summit held in Berlin on 29 April last year.


VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA TO PARIS

At the invitation of French President Emanuel Macron, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić paid a working visit to Paris on 9 and 10 July 2020. On Tuesday, May 19, Ambassador Nataša Marić participated in a video conference organized for the ambassadors accredited in France on the topic of gender equality. French Secretary of State Ms Marlène Schiappa presented the priorities of French government in this field. 


THIRD PARIS PEACE FORUM

On Wednesday, April 29, Ambassador Natasa Maric participated in a video conference dedicated to the holding of the Third Paris Peace Forum, which is scheduled for November 11-13, 2020. The conference was opened by the Minister of European and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, while the participants were addressed by Justin Vaïsse, Director General of the Paris Peace Forum, and Rémy Rioux, Director General of the French Development Agency.

On Monday, March 23, the Government of the Republic of Serbia organized the second special humanitarian flight from Paris Roissy CDG airport. Among the 145 passengers there were 144 adults and a baby all of which were our nationals who were stranded in the international transit area and public zone of Paris airport.


HER EXCELLENCY MADAME AMBASSADEUR NATASA MARIC VISITED SERBIAN NATIONALS AT PARIS ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT

On Sunday afternoon, March 22, Her Excellency Ambassador Nataša Marić visited approximately 200 of our nationals who found themselves stranded in the transit zone and public zone of Paris CDG airport. She spent several hours discussing their concerns following the emergency they were in, talking about the problems they may have encountered and the possibilities of finding suitable responses. She emphasized that the Embassy of Serbia in Paris along with the Government of the Republic of Serbia was working on adequate solutions for this complex situation with which we were confronted.


THE FIRST SPECIAL HUMANITARIAN FLIGHT FROM PARIS ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT

On Friday March 20, Air Serbia chartered a special humanitarian flight thanks to which the Serbian nationals who, following the introduction of exceptional measures in the two countries, found themselves in the transit zone at the Paris Roissy CDG airport. Thanks to this flight, 103 adults and 3 babies were able to be return to Serbia.
