Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with a delegation of the French employer federation MEDEF, whose companies operate in many countries around the world, but also on the Serbian market, and assessed that such a large delegation proves interest in investing in our country.
Brnabic pointed out that the largest French-Serbian investment projects are the concessions for Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, the project of rehabilitation of the Belgrade landfill Vinca, construction of a plant for processing municipal waste and production of heating or electricity, as well as the project of building the Belgrade metro.
Representatives of French companies underlined that our country is an important and reliable partner, and that the results we show in the vaccination of the population against COVID-19 and that we achieve significant economic growth despite the pandemic, is something that has the power to attract new investments.
It was pointed out at the meeting that Serbia's interest is to continue investments and further development of trade relations with France, which means growth of exchange and exports, increased investments in the field of infrastructure, energy, industry, IT, agriculture.
Special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the field of "green transition", i.e. environmental protection and renewable energy sources.
During the talks, it was emphasised that companies from France are interested in cooperation, not only when it comes to the construction of the Belgrade metro, but also in other infrastructure and construction projects, and that Serbia is especially attractive in the field of research and development.
