The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of the national holiday, in which, among other things, it is said:

"Freedom, equality and brotherhood, which you celebrate on 14 July, are imperishable values, and the task of all admirers of those ideals, including the Republic of Serbia, is to preserve them in a modern world full of challenges.

Serbia is privileged to have a reliable partner such as France, just as I am honored that you are always ready to hear our views on various issues. The relationship that you, as a person and as a leader, have with Serbia, is of the greatest importance for us. The respect for Serbia and its citizens, which you showed during your visit in July 2019, is inscribed, together with our deep affection, in the history of Serbian-French relations.

We remain committed to strengthening ties with France, on the basis of traditional friendship and proclaimed strategic partnership, and we look forward to the opportunity to host you again", President Vučić's congratulatory message to President Macron reads.
